Heres my problem, I picked up a 91' fastback and swaped out the twin cam ka for a black top sr20det. everything seemed to be runnin great for about a month then one night when droppin off my cousin I had one of a drivers worst nightmares come true. I had just got to the top of a pretty big hill. All the sudden my clutch dropped to the floor and didn't want to come up. next..smoke...then....FIRE! after I finally got the fire out and had a chance to look everything over I decided that the source was the top section of the harness that connects the coil packs to the rest of the harness. The harness that burned was an sr harness (not some mickey mouse backyard bs). Is this a common problem? I'm asking because I managed to source another harness and want to know if there is some kind of modding to keep it from heating up like that again. The car will be back and running this weekend (after I replace brake booster vacuum line, heater hose, and blow out my clutch and brake hardlines) trying to avoid having to replace those. Also, what would cause the clutch to just drop like that. the fire was right under the hard lines on the fire wall so I'm assuming just because it heated up and has some crap in there now? anyways, any help with this issue would be much appreciated. I'm new to this forum so lets see how good you guys are
thanks in advance
