Heck I'm surprised DRFT has an automatic. I thought he had a manual.
Something ran across my mind, wouldn't a torque converter be a good idea for automatics, when they drift? It may sound stupid, but I thought about it.

looks like it was a fun event. where there additional fee's on top of $50 if you where not a NASA member? just curious.

I wanted to just chime in and say that depite the slow goings, it turned out really well especially because it was my first event.

Its just too bad that the CH 5 news van would not be using that footage for anything. MikeDeuce and I managed to catch him as he as was leaving to see when it might be showing (hoped for a quick edit and a 10/11 pm showing) but he told us that they (assuming his bosses) wouldn't take so it looks like we won't be getting any local news media coverage. I bet he did have fun, he spent a good 4-5 hrs out there interviewing people, taping the lunch meeting and riding along with "Dr. Drift" --- btw, anyone know what happened to his car? After killing the tread on his tires he and a few people were under the hood of that M3 (not sure if Turbo or Supercharged, but definitely FI and it was not running/sounding right)

Anyways, a good event overall for beginners despite the fact it was small and the organization was a bit chaotic. No Sunday event though, its alright cuz that just means we have time to get ready for Thunderhill?

(I looked so out of place compared to others who know how to choose their rim/tire combinations. Its alright though, the owner of the rims doesn't know I have them but will be getting them back with no treadwear. haha)

yeah i did horrible with the auto. hopefully i can get my 280zx to run again and i'll start taking that to events instead. that one was stick, which made it a lot more fun, gas guzzler though.

I wasnt expecting much from this event before I got there and even during the early morning I wasnt too happy but at the end of the day I realized I had really enjoyed it. Despite the somewhat poor course layout and disorganization, I was able to improve my skills and hang with friends so at the end of the day it was worth the $60. Also got a chance to meet some new people, heartwork, mooboy, etc. Hopefully I'll see everyone at the next event!

Nice SE wheels NZO!!!! Look way better on your car then they did on mine, but then again anythin looks better on yours LOL. But yea that looked really fun i had to go to my cousins wedding and i managed to escape for an hour and go to this Wack A$$ import car show. Oh well i guess there is always next time.

Yea it sucked but it was better then Dancing to oldies with my aunts. For Shure we have to go to the next event like this!!!
