Sr20 red top speed limit

Hey I wanted to remove the stock speed limit on my sr20 red top. I clipped the yellow wire with the green stripe right from the ecu. There is still a limit on it, which I am led to believe is the 5th gear rev limiter. It still tops out around the same speed, maybe a little bit higher.

Help me! How do I remove the limits? I got beat by a Mazda 3 the other day (not speed 3)

Like I said, I have read that the problem is coming from the 4th or 5th gear rev limiter that is attached to the tranny. Can someone give me
A wire color or location to cut? I know someone else has solved this problem before, so help a brotha out!

P.s. I know I shouldn't be going 150 on the highway but I'm not gonna get walked all over by N/A 4 cylinder automatics

Well, if you're so sure that someone else has solved it, then bother using the search button.

And it'll be a tad be cheesy, but, it's the driver, not the car.

(Seriously though, if you just want to remove the limiter just because of that... ugh. Your car, your decision.)

I wouldn't be asking if I didn't already search. I found that there's a 5th gear and 4th gear rev limiter, I just don't know the location or what kind of wire it is so I don't wanna go about it blindly, and I also don't want to remove my exhaust and driveshaft if I don't have to, just to find the wire.

What are the gear sensors, so I can find the 5th gear and 4th gear one? Is it gonna take off the rev limit so my car will go up to 10k if I don't stop it?

why is a street race lasting up to 120 anyway?

If a Mazda 3 is beating you up to 120mph then there is something wrong with your engine and would be more worried on why its so slow and getting beat by a Mazda 3.

If hes beating you up to 120 then he probably gonna beat you up to 150...

But anyway Zilvia does not condone Street racing or any illegal activities so... grow up and take it to a track before you kill yourself or others, WE dont care if you are out in BFE and its 3am with nobody around its still illegal and shit can happen beyond your control.

I shouldn't have to explain every small detail. I was on the highway passing people and I passed a Mazda and he got behind me. I hit my speed limit and he kept going and passed me. I'm trying to remove the speed limit, simple as that. I don't need to type a novel to get the point across. If you don't know how to help me solve the problem then don't be a troll.

Alright I'll just wait a day and reword it so I can get the technical
Help I need since everyone is so bitter in this day and age. Is it always necessary to pick out the wrong things someone says?

I can't race my car in the mile if I want to because ill hit the speed limit. I can't drive 130 on Route 66 at 3 in the morning If I want to.

This is a technical forum. How do I remove the right governor so I don't mess up my car?

And I'm sorry I don't have an automatic Volkswagen that is programmed from the factory to do 160, or a corvette that can do 180. Who cares if I want my s13 to be somewhat on par with cars like that?

Because you are wanting to do this on the street which is nether safe nor legal.
