This guy is condoning using butt connectors on a wiring harness. Do you not see the problem with that? Any amateur wiring guru would laugh hysterically at this. What's more comical is that if Toby or Mike or any of the other almighty gods here on Zilvia(And do not mean that in an insulting way whatsoever) were saying the exact same thing, all of you people getting butt hurt would be swinging off their nuts.

Thread. If you at least have shit for brains you know those butt connectors can be replaced with a sodered wire joint. He never once said butt connectors have to be used in order for the car to run. What's the big deal that he used butt connectors. If your reading this thread odds are you will be doing this on YOUR car, do it however you feel you want it. HE IS JUST SHOWING US WHAT WIRES GO WHERE IN ORDER FOR THE ENGINE TO RUN. If he just twisted up the wires and e taped the hell out of it, who cares? He's not working on your car. Durty- I get what you're saying about us not having to use butt connectors ourselves. That is a really good point. That fact still stands, however, that he is putting it out as "the real cost", when, once again, it is simply the cost to half ass shit.

Bullshit. The 1 cent 100-pack of red/yellow/blue butt connectors with a pair of $2 Autozone crimpers isn't a way to make a solid mechanical connection, but a quality butt splice with a pro-grade crimper is just as good as a soldered joint.

Some OEM's factory-train their service tech to make mechanical repair connections. BTW, what kind of connections do you think the "wiring gods" are making at the ends of their harnesses for terminals?

I'm in the process of wiring as well. Bump away! I'm wondering if anybody has added wipers and fuel pump yet to this equation. Also, what wire leads back from the fuse box that comes from the stock nissan fuel pump relay under the hood to the harness under the dash, if any.
