Unfortunately I won't be able to because of work. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('> I'm not sure about the guys in OKC, though. I'll e-mail them and see what's up.

Well as of right now my car is down =( ...the left rear calpier is sticking/not functioning ...and my rear calipers are past the min. thickness ....so showing up to a 240 meet in a Civic probably won't be a good idea. =(
--Milk Why do roadtrips always go wrong the couple days before =( |

Would you be interested in going to the Auto-x, even if you didn't have your 240SX? If you can go, everybody would understand why you didn't have your car with you--these things happen to all of us. I'm not positive, but the last I heard, the Denver meet was cancelled due to the lack of interest (like 4 people said that they would definitely go). If you could make it, it would be great for you to make it to Stroud--at least we'd get to meet you. I don't even know how many (or how few) are going--a few said "most definitely" and some have said "maybe." You don't have to race--I just watched the last time I went and it was still a blast.

Awesome! I'm hoping it will start to cool down by then, but I doubt it. This weekend's going to be #### with the heat! Good luck with school Andrew!
Did you have any difficulty installing the Injen? Did you get the cold air extension (CAE)? What was the hardest part? (Edited by 96SEChick at 6:39 am on July 25, 2001) |

Yea I bought the injen intake couple of weeks ago (should have waited for the group buy but didn't know of it at the time). The hardest part was reading the instructions they were very vague. Oh and the hoses came to long, so I cut them; I guess that is a good thing. Rather have them to long then to short. I didn't get the CAE. I have a couple of questions about it though maybe you could answer them. I know it cools the air, but what else? Is it worth the extra $100?

From what I've heard about the CAE, it seems like it would be worth it. Even in hot weather (and crap it's hot in OK right now!), the intake is able to get better air flow (if you take the driver's side skid plate and resonator box out). I've heard there is a more noticable difference in cooler weather. The only disadvantage, is that there's a chance of soaking your air filter with water in the rain, so some people remove the CAE when it's raining. I'm not sure of the actual hp gains with the CAE, though. As soon as I get my new job (which will hopefully be in 2 weeks) I'll be able to afford it--hopefully!

Well, for the 2days/3nights I was in Oklahoma I spent most of it sitting on a porch swing watching weeds grow in empty wheat fields, and visiting. By the time we ever decided to do anything it was almost dark. I don't know how you stand to live out there in that humid heat. The land is beautiful and there's a lot of empty highways to go racing around on but you have real weather! =)
...maybe next time --Milk |

Here are a few pics taken from the Sunday, July 29 SCCA event in Stroud. (I guess you can call this proof that I actually ran my car <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>)
Hope some of you guys can make it to the next one on August 25 & 26. The 26th (Sunday) will be the bigger event--that's when I'll have my car down there--the 25th (Saturday) is more of a fun day (my bf and I took a rental car down on Saturday--it was a blast!)--and that's when most people take their cars. photos courtesy of Kelly Drown of Tulsa Firebird and Camaro Club (www.projecttransam.com) (Edited by 96SEChick at 10:51 pm on July 31, 2001) |

Actually, those cones laying down were directional cones, letting you know which way you needed to go around the cone--if you didn't go the way you're directed, you got a DNF (did not finish). I wish that I had pictures taken of me plowing over 3 cones during a donut--looked like falling dominoes! hehe :o:

I didn't run over any cones my first 3 laps--I was doing really good. But, the last lap, my rear end got loose, and I hit the gas and did a really nice donut--making 3 cones fly. I have it on video tape, but haven't gotten it to my computer yet.
Andrew, I really hope you can make it on August 25 or 26--it is a lot of fun. I will have a strut tower brace installed the front and hopefully have suspension parts on order by then (even tho I don't know what I'm gonna get yet). |

That will be great! I will definitely be there both days, but will probably only have my car there on Sunday, Aug 26. I may have it there on Saturday, not positive, tho. And, my car will probably still be a bit banged up then--don't have the money for deductible right now. Oh, well!
