fuel pump issue

89 coupe

fuel pump isn't priming at all checked to see if the fuse was good and it is checked to see if I was getting power to the relay and fuse and its good.

Replaced the fuel pump with a new one still wouldn't prime.

I am not getting any power at all to the plug for the pump at all

checked to see if the ecu was grounded properly as that was a previous problem with a buddies car

I am thinking about hard wiring it to by pass all the B.S.

But before I do that I was wanting to run it by you guys here and see if I didn't overlook something and missed something

So in otherwords why is the fuel pump not getting power? And if I hard wire it would I run into any problems?

To the people who want to flame please go to another post I have no time for you.
