S14/ Ebrake not working with Z32 brakes?

I tried taking off the ebrake cover and tightening the bolt right under the handle but the next part of the thread for the bolt was stripped so it just freely turns. My ebrake works on small hills, and for it to work at that I have to pull up the ebrake so much it is almost vertical. Sometimes the ebrake doesn't stop my car from rolling at all. The previous owner did the brake swap and I haven't taken a look at it yet. Any ideas?

There's many components that make up the Z32 rear system. Start by fixing what you know is wrong then take everything apart and inspect it all.

This shit happened to my Silvia, took the nut off, got a replacement, added spacers to pull some of the slack and have the nut thread on the good threads.

You replaced the ebrake cable? I'm thinking of getting a R32 ebrake cable. What kind of spacers did you get?
