transmission is making a violent grinding noise

Hellow im here to see if any one can help me with my transmission problem. Every once in a while when Im accelerating from a light in second gear, my transmission will make a VIOLENT grinding noise and vibration. It is the exact same noise/shifter vibration as if I was jamming it into gear and grinding gears, except it happens for a moment while my car is in gear!!! This is really scarring me, what could cause this. It happened once tonight while I was in 5th gear cruising also. The sound/vibration is sudden and violent, as if I ground gears during a mis-shift. Its just as quick as a mis-shift, but without me touching anything.

Change Fluis ASAP.
you may have a piece of metal broke off in tranny, hopefully it falls out.
I would use GM Syncro mesh fluid too, works well.

That sort of happened to me, it would grind a bit so I flushed the fluids and it was gone so I'd say do that and see if that works. Use redline mt90 it helps

yep, just go ahead drain it out, if you dont see any metal come out you can pull the tranny and crack it open to make sure there is no loose metal inside if you want. (im sure you want to go through that much trouble though lol)
Just drain it, and refill it and if it goes away dont worry about step 2.
