There is already a 2JZ swap thread that has a Plethora of information pertaining to the JZ swap in general for the S-Chassis. I'm not really sure what can be accomplished by this thread other than advertising your own business.

Actually, I like this idea, although there are similarities between 1j/2j, the other thread IS directed at 2j's.
(Especially since I'm doing a 1j) The other thread isn't stickied either.

I see that.. It is a 2jz theard. Not a 1jzgte. Aside from the motor mounts & transmission . The 1jz's & Vvti's are completely different . The pont is to help out not to promote my shop. Only reason I mentioned my shop is to show my experience & that im not talking out my ass...,im slammed out the door with work. + Im in socal so I dont see any swap comming in because of this post. I only do swaps. I dont sell new parts. So when I have more time I will post up a gold rush of details for everyone.

if u use the auto trans that comes with the 1jzgte u pick, wiring should be easy.. u don't have to wire anything extra to get the auto trans working.. as long as all the sensors are plugged in on the trans it will shift fine..OD will not work unless u wire it but its only 2 wires.. i have a book with all my diagrams in it.. gotta clean it up so u guys can read it.. takes some pixs & upload.. need a few day.. got 2 kids & a full time shop i run

It;s a stock s13 singlecam cable. I just cut and crimped the end of it at the pedal. I plan on taking pictures of the wiring being installed. The engine harness and install is being done by Fiend performance, chassis harness is custom.

Here is my 1jz vvti swapped into my s13.
Parts list: Jzx100 engine and 5 speed R154 (this trans is factory extended unlike older r154) Spec stage 3 pull type clutch Arp flywheel bolts DSS Aluminum 1 piece drive shaft Griffin Alum radiator Garrett 18x11x3 Ic core, made my own tanks Alum charge piping Freshen up all seals and gaskets besides headgasket New water pump, timing kit, plug wires Earls -16 radiator lines Earls -6 fuel lines Earls -10 water cross over Drift motion steel turbine exhaust wheel upgrade/360 degree bearing upgrade Custom stainless downpipe that bolted on 22ft/lbs and 26 hp on stock boost. 3 inch stainless exhaust As pictured made 295ft lbs and 313hp on stock ecu and wastegate, no tuning or boost controller. This is the pipe I made. I did back to back dyno test stock vs mine, only changing the pipe and it made 22ft lbs and 26hp. I made a 3 inch pipe from stock 3 bolt outlet to where my v band connected on exhaust for the stock one. This way it would be fair comparison. I was actually worried at first when the stock one put down 273ft lbs and 287hp. Then I put on mine and it made more power everywhere in the power band and extended peak torque 250 rpm. I believe this pipe is better than the tomei unit, as that one makes 30hp gain, but they are running 23.5psi boost, where mine made 26hp gain on stock ecu/boost. Im sure mine would shine even more with elevated boost and ecu tuning.

Question, I have a 1jz non vvti and I am purchasing a non ac serpentine bbelt and on drift motion they ask me if I have a clutch fan or hydro fan. Don't exactly know what the hydro fan is. Which one do I need? I'm ussuming since I don't know what a hydro fan is. I don't have it?

The non-vvti 1JZ uses a hydraulic powered cooling fan for the radiator. Said hydro fan runs off a pump that is part of the water pump assembly. You have two option, you can try to find a stock hydro fan (good luck) and run it, OR you can cap off/recirculate the hydro fan pump and just run electric fans. Most people convert from the 1jz hydro fan/water pump to the 2JZ water pump/clutch fan or electic fans.

If you're going to keep the existing hydro fan/water pump assembly, recirculate/loop the hydraulic system and run electric fans; obviously, you're going to get the hydro fan related belt. If you're going to switch to the 2JZ water pump with a clutch fan or electric fans; you're going to get the clutch fan related belt.
