Wink Running a Tuned Redtop ECU on my 95 s13 Blacktop...

I know and i've seen a couple of people running #62 ECUs in their Blacktops and it runs fine. My #E5 ECU took a shit on me and i wanted to start messing with some tuned ECUs i see around. So far i've only stumbled on #62 ECUs and hardly any tuned #E5s. Will this work or am i just wasting my time? Thanks.

BTW: if you are running a tuned 62 ECu on your blacktop, let me know how thats going thanks. Everything mentioned is for s13 SR20DETs. thanks again

thanks you guys but i already know that a #62 ECU will work for a s13 blacktop. My question was if a TUNED ECU would work. ANything like a MINES or SWAT, or whatever. i've only come across one tuned E5 so far. so who knows about running a #62 Mines ECU on a 95 s13 Blacktop? this will work too? thanks.

as posted in another thread. the 62 will run your blacktop but O2 sensors are incompatible. you will want to switch to a redtop O2 sensor when you run the 62.

mines programs are junk...dont waste your time.

Is it a matter of the o2 sensor's range being different for each ecu or pinout differences?

Well, from my understanding, i know you can run a #62 on a blacktop with no problems regardless what O2 sensor you are using, fat or skinny. I actually did a swap like this. But an #E5 on a redtop? Running rich all the time and switching the O2 sensors dont seem to help at all. so it seems #62 ECU is versitle to the two s13 motors.

.... SO WHY is MINE'S ECU CRAP? What ECU would you recomend?
