Problem with my Climate Control (USDM)
I searched and couldn't find anything on here at all about my problem.
I've got a 97 240sx and ever since I swapped in my S14 SR20 my climate control has not worked. It will turn the air on, but it will not let me change it from cold to hot, or from any of the vents except right in your face. It is starting to get cold here and it really sucks not having heat, or the ability to defrost as my car is getting fogged up on rainy days. I tried to look up information in the FSM but I couldn't find a way to trouble shoot the device itself. I'm not sure if the climate control went bad or if there is a certain plug that was not plugged in or what happened. I looked for plugs but couldn't find anything that wasn't plugged in. Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you'll need to buy bendable pipes and attach them to your vents. You can move the pipes wherever you need the air to be.
...or it could be wiring or the HVAC unit itself. My guess is that if it worked before it's not the latter. Did you keep and hook up all the KA's a/c stuff? Didn't do the swap myself so I don't have any other input.

Check all fuses. The blower motor has it's own circuit and will work independently. If everything checks out fine you've burned up the control head somehow.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I'm officially on a fuse quest, aside from that my friend is going to let me borrow his working unit to see if it is the unit itself on my car. I am hoping to just find a blown fuse.

I finally got a chance to check everything out on it and the fuses are fine. The unit is fine because I swapped in my friends unit that 100% works and it wouldn't change anything.
This leaves me to believe it is wiring...if anyone has any specific experience with the climate control wiring I'd love to hear some input. I have trouble reading the wiring diagrams in the FSM so I might have to get my friend who's an electrician to help me out.
