Don't yell at me, but I have no clue if the 240 sx has a frame. I'm talking full frame, like my D21 hardbody. Anyone?

Nah, 240SX are uni body construction, not body on frame.

What it does have are subframes for mounting the engine and the suspension.

Suwwweeeeet. Thanks. That's all I needed to know. If they did, I would immediately consider getting a 240. I like having a frame. Like tonight, for instance. Instead of going back around to catch the one-way street parking lot, I just drove over the curb. Really nice to have something that can be beaten to crap, and still drive. We were going to the bars! Just got back. Drove my boss home. He was ripped off his ass. It was a good night.

And since matic240 was kind enough to rip on my D21 that last week or whatever, I'm gonna go ahead and say, duuuuuuuuuhhhhh, all cars DON'T have frames, and AUTOS SUCK!!! Hope you don't mind.

91 D21 beater, thanks for the subframe info. Sleeper trucks rule!

awwwwww they made up and kissed and all that good stuff..... nothin wrong with auto 240'z in fact i'd argue its easier to get the rear out in an auto at least from my experience of driving one.... but then again i haven't driven a 5 spd 240 so yah.....

LMAO. Yeah, it was a big sloppy kiss too. As far as autos go, I would say it's definitely not easier to get the rear end out, because automatics provide more even power to the ground. IT's one of their benefits. That's why auto transmission cars have better traction in the snow. Provided the cars are the same.

Very few modern cars have frames, the Chevy Corvette, the Crown Victoria, the Prowler (aluminum frame) and most all trucks are about all that is built on a true frame. The Viper has what is called a tubular frame so Im not sure if that counts.
Most everything on the road today including all the muscle cars (Mustangs, Camaros, Trans Ams, etc) are all uni-body.

Oh and Im not sure about some of the high end BMW's and other European cars, they may have true frames but I dont think so.

There is a new Nissan truck that is uni-body, and Ford builds one too. But most all trucks are built on frames.

Hee, hee! That must bring some satisfaction!!!

My car is framed with little things... yeah. I haven't really thought of anything like duct tape and pantyhose yet, but I assure you, I will later!!!

How about Leggos?

Anyway, I also didn't know whether a 240 had a frame or not, and I own one, so... thank you for educating me.

And chicken, I had a beater car before that I'd drive over the curbs with (I really didnt' give a crap about it;) ). I'm sure your boss was thrilled to ride with you!!!

Actually, my boss used to work for an auto auction in Penn. and in his stay there, he blew the engines on 14 subarus and one ford. Big hill coming up one of the roads, and since they didn't care about the cars. He drives a 80's mustang now, with the 5.0 liter, and a BMW K1000 motorcycle. Fortunately, we have no problem driving with each other since we're both crazy when it comes to vehicles.

Actually, the funny thing is I care soooo much about my truck. I baby the thing all the time. You know, like check the engine for leaks, run it up to redline. She loves it. She's just built so strong, I haven't been able to break much yet. The way a truck should be. Only driveline component I've replaced is the center support bearing for the driveshaft.
