Drift Track

Hey So-Cal drifters!
Quick question...

How far would all of you be willing to drive to a sick ass track? We're speaking of a 5th gear drift track!

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

If I can actually practice on it and not pay a G for the entrance, then that would be BAD ASS!!!

well a lot of people are willing to drive 2-3 hours for willow springs..

some even more like guys from norcal coming for track days at willow springs or people going to buttonwillow.

I think as long as the track is nice and the entrance fee isn't outrageous people would be willing to go because it's another "new" track... but then again, with alot of these pay by the hour drift events happening, it might be tougher..

Will this be an actual course? New course? Out in the dessert like willow? I'd be down to drive about 100 miles. 5th gear is ridiculous though. Top of 3rd would be perfect I think.

and tires will be a major issue. how will the asphault be. i did three runs on el toros 3rd gear course and my tires ripped to shreds. so if its too far,(like anything more than and hour) and im only gona get a cupel runs in one each set of tires. i think i would have to pass. i dont got that kind of money to be throwing around like that, as much fun as it maybe, i just cant afford it. and i doubt to many of us can

I'd rather have a fun track to drive that flows well with some elevation changes more so than a track that I can drift in 5th gear.

^^^^ as would i. only thing that is worth driving more than an hour for is willow srpings. by far best track around here.

but like riley said, even if its a parkign lot, ppl will come. u gota remember that there aint to many ppl left hit up the streets anymore( but my ass aint never leavin the streets!!!!! street driftin for life lol!!). and if ppl can get good seat time undisturbed by the cops, they r most likely gona take it, even if its just a parking lot.

I've done 4th gear entry at El Toro and my car feels like its gonna fall apart just like a lot of people's would.

So keep it real expectations that not many people would be able to do 5th gear entry let alone have the skills to do it in the first place.

You'd have so many crashes it would be stupid.
