Stock is fine, to be honest the only thing I would suggest is getting a welded diff because drifting a open diff isnt so much fun. Also get a set of extra rims to take with you, dont want to blow out a tire and have nothing to drive home on.
If you need a welded diff I think there are a few open diffs for sale right now for cheap, and then just have Luisgonz weld it for you. If I had to get another car for drifting, I would end up with a S13 with Coilovers, welded diff and some spare tires. The first car I drifted was a 73 Vega with pretty much stock suspension.....I almost ripped the rear end out but was fun anyways. |

A welded diff will make it so you can spin both tires at the same time holding your drift longer. Where the open diff will only have 1 tire spinning making it a lot harder to slide.
I'm sure someone else can explain it better, or there is better info on the site somewhere, or google even. An example of what a welded diff looks like Example of open diff |

awww, Cmon Jon, travel at night with us! I'm getting a hotel close by so we can get some rest right before the event and let our cars cool off. plus I need to test acouple things on my car now so I have no choice but to travel at night. Tommy mentioned to me that we should all go to your sun. night meet so the Knights can gather and talk this over.

WOOT, my injectors are on their way back from Deatchwerks, luckily they were just dirty and didnt have a bad injector. Hopefully get the car running next week so I can break it in and make sure everything else is working fine.
Looking forward to driving it again after 6months. |
