I think the front end is actually pretty good looking, I like the organic feel of it, reminds me of a better looking MZ3.
although they ruined the rear end, looks like a tribeca from the back |

Actually i spoke in great length with a subaru rep on the new impreza. it looks much better in person. and that center screen is DVD/NAV.
i know a lot of details about the car and what is to come in the future. Despite people saying initially they dont like the car, there will be a strong following and wil sell many units. There is going to be a lot of tuner companies developing parts for the car and i think it will do very well against the new Evo X. You're all going to be in for a suprise with the STi......

Excuse me? That new Subie is HIDEOUS. I love the current generation with the eagle eyes and that style grew on me. But this one does make me think of a corolla.

chrome grill = chrystler sebring -ish? well, the one after the "bugeye" looked like a hyundai. the latest version is still an improvement from the tri-beca version. kinda. |

EVO X eats the Subaru, spits it out, rapes it, then crushes it underfoot (in that order).
For whatever reason, that design just makes the car look taller than it already is. |

Subaru's best efforts have been the current Subaru Legacy GT, a really handsome car IMO.
'04-'05 WRX STi (post bugeye, pre Alfa grill) is a good Subaru design, but the best I can really say is that it's "not ugly"...although for Subaru that's an accomplishment. Oh, and some of the pre-bugeye Imprezas were truly badass, if a little...crude. As I understand it, the Legacy is selling pretty well, too, which makes it even more questionable why they are abandoning that design path for a wierd Alfa + Kia + Daewoo + messy blob look. I mean, Alfa Romeo does it like this: Subaru: basically, let's take a beautiful italian design, put it on a taller sedan body, and replace the elegant curves with body flares.... |

The Alfa thing is dead. He was fired from Subaru.
C8 Competizione. The most gorgeous Alfa ever made.

As far as the current aplha romeo lineup, its arguably the best looking commercial car manufacturer lineup period imo. even the interiors on econobox models are masterpieces. they've really come a very long way, and its difficult for almost anyone to measure up to them, much less subaru. the legacy is a good looking car i agree. it was a shame subaru did not borrow more from that design. something along the lines of a more stout, compact legacy would at the very least aroused a lot less offense. |

Look how awkward the taillight looks. Ouch is the first thing that comes to my mind. The curve on the bottom the light looks bad and gives the illusion of the body protruding out.

new subie = F A I L
the pre bug eye is nice, the bug eye, blob eye are okay, the tribeca is actually nice if you take off the hideous nose with some type of body kit... this new one just fails miserably, people have called it a bastard child of the mazda 3, impala, sebring, kia... bleh... the legacy looks nice, wished the impreza went this direction... subie also needs to get rid of the 5X100 and go all 5X114... |
