I guess new people and people that has never been to Buttonwillow doesn't know how this work.

Its a real race track where you run all day non-stop. There's going to be groups but you dont get on the track one by one. Its a group of cars and drifting the whole track.

No such thing is wait for BW except for change groups.

And for 150 bucks at BW is a piece of cake. The track is super awesome!

Search on Youtube, you'll see tons of my vids there.

It has been done, many times before.

ButtonWillow is huge. Even with all slots filled, it will be hard for the average driver to use ALL of his track time. There is so much, you will get tired. Bring WATER, GATORADE, STRIPPERS, any thing to keep you full of energy!

on a three mile track, a 40-car run group would have an average of 396 feet between cars. that's almost 1-1/3 football fields.

Yes. I've run the track with 80+ people in the past with 4 groups. It isn't that big of a deal. I've seen the track before with 100+ people. hahahha

Most likely we're going to split saturday between East and West.

All 4 groups will be switching every 40 minutes...

Do the math...

4 groups at 40 min each is kinda a wait. means two hours between your first run and second run. I think 3 groups would be ok.

You obviously haven't run BWillow... hot lap drifting with your whole group on track... this isn't some parking lot event with single car runs

PLENTY OF RUNTIME GUARANTEED!!!

You'll probably run out of tires before you can complain about not having enough seat time!

Trust me, that's plenty of time at BW. You'll run out of tires before the end of the day.

Ive done plenty of full track/hot lap drifting.

its the same way we run HTM at willow springs.

Im just saying, waiting 2 hours before running again can get boring.

With 4 run groups, i would guess 3 outtings per group throughout the day. (3 hrs to go through all 4 groups if everything goes super smooth, which it never does)

still plently of time, and most will run out of tires before the end of the day.

mandatory breaks give you a chance to fix stuff, change stuff, swap stuff, eat stuff, take pictures of stuff, and talk to stuff (or people) without wasting track time, since you can't drive during that time anyway.

yeah breaks are great. Not saying we should be running for the whole day.

but 2 hrs is a long time. and when you break something on your car or blow up your tires in the first 10 minutes of your run group, that means you only have 2 more times out.

im only speaking from experience.

charlie usually allows 3 groups max at HTM and we run for 40 min each.
that means we wait 1-1.5 hrs in between groups, this is more than enough time to fix anything that is fixable at the track, and still seems like forever sometimes.

I know this is the first time doing this type of event at BW, just trying to help out.

This is not the first time. I've done 4 groups in Buttonwillow with my Private-Events, not just once but plenty of times. By the time lunch time people wants to go home since they run out of tires.

And comparing BW to HTM is like... I don't even know. BW is just a fucking awesome track. Nothing against that track but when I drove it with SV, shit was like ok... that was it?

Are you doing the math right?

If we have 4 groups divided in 2 tracks, east and west. Two groups switching every 40 minutes...

Do the math again.

People are going to wish that we have a 2 hour downtime when they are out there.

Are you doing the math right?

If we have 4 groups divided in 2 tracks, east and west. Two groups switching every 40 minutes...

Do the math again.

People are going to wish that we have a 2 hour downtime when they are out there.
by bad.

i thought it was one track combining both?

but if its 2 tracks thats a different story, ill be there for sure.

wasnt comparing the 2 tracks, only comparing the event type, hot lap style, not wait in line for your turn style.

Well, we still have a lot to finalize. We might change it to 60 drivers once we get everything going for Sunday.

It's just not my decision, its between Drift Association, Drift Buffet, Just Drift and DriftxBattle.
