messed with idle now motor shakes

latley my auto s13 (ka24de) has been having a idle problem it get a really low idle i read and learned that there is a idle screw. i turned it out trying to make the idle higher. now when i start the car at get it to about 2000 rpm the motor will start to shake pretty hard. if i let off the gas it will idle but the rpm needle will go from 1000 to to about 1100. i tried to drive and when the car would shift into 1st gear it would jerk pretty bad. could it be the atf?

put the screw back to where it was, clean the throttle body and check to se if your atf is low.

i got it to idle good now, no more shaking. diconected the "tps" started the car let it warm up, turned the idle screw till it will idle , found a good point. back it out a tad more. turned the car off, plugged the tps back in.
now i get a weird noise coming from the engine. if you can imagine the oil cover broken into pieces rattling thats what it sounds like. im thinking its the chain guide.

take the vavle cover off. remove the upper chain guide if you haven't yet. check the cam lobes to see if the lifters are bouncing. or try using some lucas oil stabilizer.
