White Smoke and No Gas
Okay so my 1989 240sx has been sitting for a couple months. I just went out to replace the slave cylinder and decided to see if it would start. It did, like I thought it would. It was blowing a lot of white smoke when I'd press on the gas and shoot out black stuff. It was running for about 10 minutes, I looked inside the car and my gas was empty. It had about a 1/4 of a tank before starting it. I don't know what's going on. This sucks, I go out there to fix something simple, and now this happens. Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Op my sr did this when it hadnt ran in a while. Does it smell like gas? Check your injector o rings. Mine cracked and was dumping gas cause black soot to come out as well as alot of white smoke |

an mafs hooked up backward will cause a large amount of black smoke as well, but as you hadn't touched it and it was running properly before parking?... i'd go with Jacobs13's suggestion, check the o rings, and / vacuum lines, anything that can crack when not in use

Black smoke is a result of rich conditions which would explain where your gas went. How did your temp gauge read? Have temperatures dropped below freezing since its been sitting and did you have the proper anti-freeze level if so? I would start by checking injector seals as suggested above.
