freashly built sohc ka running rich
well i recently got my ka fired up and it runs great! i'm not exactly sure if its running rich but it sure as hell gets horrible gas mileage..
the other day i put 5 gallons in it, and got about 70miles with it and im almost at E, i did kind of drive it semi-hard just to break in the piston rings, but would it cause my gas mileage to be that bad? damn, also during idle my car idles at about 1k rpms and doesn't smoke or anything, i did remove emissions, i also tried smelling the exhaust smoke and it kind of smelt like gas... hmm what could it be..? bad o2 sensor? |

no when you take out the emissions it will cause the car to run rich the best way to know how its running is to get a air fuel gauge its easy to wire all you do is hook it up to the o2 sensor

hmm well, i filled the tank, and drove 300 miles ALL city driving pretty much a little bit of highway, i drove it somewhat hard, since im trying to seat the rings in... that sound normal?
i drove about 358 miles so far, and it was raining today.. and i just had to get the car sideways.. haha hopefully its wasn't to bad for the motor.. i know it was pretty bad for my new clutch though.. lol |
