'76 Datsun Z
Day i got it, $2000 From San Mateo, California
Shit was way too high, had to lower it. Got some Longchamps, 15x7 lame size i know but they were free. car looked like shit Car came with a lightly built motor, .20 overbore, ld28 crank and some cam that was obviously TOO big. And it blew up, most likely the cam was the cause. Oil was full of metal. So i pulled it out and rebuilt it, Just gotta hook everything up Done Then it came time to lower it more. Got some Koni red shocks for a VW, and 10kg 7" Springs This setup let me be at a lower height with the collars all the way up. Thanks to ian for his fab skill sectioning and welding the coilover bodies. So here it is, all done. This is how the car sits with the collars turned down about 3-4 turns...Notice i primered the car lol the black paint got really annoying. |

Nice. How the hell do you get free Longchamps!? Let me guess, you didn't have to pay for your buddies suspension work either..? Yes, I'm jealous.

Longchamps for free is a good deal in any language.
Negative on those ZG flares until he actually needs them, looks cool as it is, although that's a lot lower than I could ever want mine! I definitely need to do the coilover conversion.

yeah, I dont think ill ever use flairs anyway, i cant find it in my heart to cut up a Z. But ur right, im creditcard flush in the rear, trying to get the front the same way, and this height is suprisingly practical!

My drifting spree came to an end friday night, slid my Z into a concrete pillar. Car is pretty much done, but it runs and drives like nothing ever happened. Pretty sad about the whole thing but i see it as a new beginning for another Z project. A much better Z project. Coming 2013. |
