the results are I just got home .
damn 8 hour drive took 13 hours . One of are tires came off the rx7 on the freeway and tor off the wide body bye bye. We jumped a intersection in Indeo doing 50 trying to get to in-N -out before they closed and cracked the tow bar. We found power on the side of a building and welded it up in the parking lot. But going to bed drunk on sunday day in a crap 20 dollar hotel after the sun came up priceless. Congrats top 9 drivers

Mad driving Big John, 15 hours straight of towing with just a short break for some sleep and then my 8 drift runs on a huge lot in the Arizona desert.
Taka and Hiro did a crazy cool course, fast left-hander initiation followed by this bump that had many cars lifting and many drivers straightening out. Only a few of the 29(exact no?) drivers even made the course at all, basically these 9 won invitations. I am glad I am one of them so John didn't do all that driving for no reason.

That bump was the most fun part of the track... It busted one of my shocks on the first run. Go figure. But yeah it was by far one of the most technical parking lot courses I've ever been to. Thanks Taka and Hiro for coming up with this one. I'm so stoked the s12 gets to go to nationals. I'll see the rest of you gangsters out there.

yeah, az sucks, for the most part. but later in the day, when the thunder storms rolled in and it cooled off, it was cool. It was even cooler that i qualified. the course was fast, and the first corner was technical, i was coming in at about 85, and slowing to about 30 to make the first clip. the bumps were cool, i had to raise my car and soften the shocks to keep from straightening out or spinning.
so does anyone know where we will be going for the nationals?

There should be some posted within the next week or so. I got to see a few preview pics from our local photo whore Justin and the backdrops were AMAZING. The sunset sets off a bunch of the pics perfectly. I'll make sure to link you guys up once it becomes available on the local forum. |

DTM e30 is Dave Blunt. He's one of the newer JD drivers that's been consistantly attending events. He's got natural talent and will be a competitive driver in the near future with some more power to work with. He just picked up an S13 recently. I wish he would stay in the e30 but I don't blame him for getting an s13 if he plans on getting more competitive. Probably would cost a ton of money to make an e30 competitive. This is his first year drifting and he's already doing some pretty advanced stuff considering his experience and setup. How'd he do out there?
