My 86T Z31
I have just lurked here for a number of years since my s13 and s14 went the way of the dinosaurs.
Here is my 86 Turbo Z31 300zx Currently I have the car torn down for a vg33et swap. Fitting a top mounted HX35, and a bunch of goodies. I am at work so I can't get into it now but I will toss up a current spec sheet later tonight. Current Mock-up |

So long story short I pulled my 89k mile vg30eT for a VG33 with about 90k miles on it. I have been pretty hard at work getting that motor up and going. The motor has a very crusty passenger side bank, so that is where the cleaning began. I pulled everything but the heads off the motor and scrubbed it down and prepped the block for a quick spray of enamel paint. I went to fitting the various new upgrades. The internals are going to stay stock for the moment as I am going to snag another block for a super secret project to replace this 3.3.

I have been at a breakneck pace for the last month or two on designing/fabricating a few different systems for this motor swap.
Fuel Here I have a long way to go, I don't have the time or funds to sump my tank as I would like so my A1000 setup will wait for a little bit. Instead I snagged a Z32TT fuel pump and will continue to use my stock lines up to a Z32TT filter. Here is where the fun begins. Using push lock connections on my Y-block I will tap into the stock feed, split it to dual -8 lines to the Rails under the LIM, exit the rear -8 to my A1000 FPR with a pushlock to the fuel return. I made my set of 14mm billet aluminum fuel rails to use RC Engineering SL4-440 injectors for now. When I get time to finish the rest of the system I will be utilizing Bosch 1600cc injectors, Direct Port Nitrous is in the works as well. Utilizing a russel Y-block, Redhorse & Aeromotive fittings, Aeroquip -8 Starlite hoses, Low profile EV-1 push connectors, New O-rings from RC IC/Intake track Evo X IC 3" Aluminum Piping relocated z32 MAF Possibly gutting a mani if I get the time blocking off emisions ASCO plenum spacer Meth Injection AEM Meth Kit Oil Cooler Greddy Relocation block with -10AN fittings -> Greddy T-Stat Filter Block -> -10 bulkheads -> to Morcal 25 row cooler core Using Redhorse fittings and Aeroquip -10 Starlite hoses. Plan on making a Shroud to feed Cooler through tube, and exhaust fins to protect rear PCV -10AN male SS bungs on each Valve covers. "Secret" Catch Cans more than likely where battery was formerly located. Utilizing Redhorse fittings and -10AN Aeroquip Starlite hose Electronics and Electrical Greddy Profec -b EBC Pivot RHU-M sleepy eyes (JDM Fresh) GT-R Push start Nistune AEM Meth Controller Aeromotive Billet Fuel Controller Efan setup using the Sentra 190* switch and either Altima or G35 Fans Relocating the CHTS to the LIM Battery relocation using LongAcre 1/0 133 strand AWG wire, power stud and a grounding block, with Baja style relocation cage and Optima Redtop 100ca battery Misc Removed AC and any Weight I can Front Shround, belly pan for Radiator Dumping Exhaust out under the car for now but plan on Driver side exit in front of Rear wheel |
