Step one.
Get a Wideband O2 sensor.

We'll continue from there.
Until then, don't drive your car.
It will run retardedly rich.

That's incorrect, if they are in fact the exact same valve/style of injector the car should run and driver pretty normally.

It will get crappy gas mileage, but under load should drive surprisingly smooth.

550cc is not a big enough jump to really mess things up

You will need to set the AFC to communicate the Z maf though, this needs to happen either wya.

So you are saying...
without a tune... it won't run too rich and thin out the oil after driving it a bit?

I'm not trying to argue with you steve.
This is something you obviously know a lot about.

I'm just saying driving around with injectors that didn't originally go with the mafs and stock ecu won;t run so great and would be rich.

i like the neo for super fine slight adjust tuning. recommend send out your ecu to get reflashed like enthalpy or jwt then like he said use the wideband o2 to get readings so you know how to adjust the ratios. without the gauge the afc is pointless.

you are running 50% fuel overlap with the 550s... draw down the fuel maps by 40% (will be rich) from 0-3000 rpms... youll be able to limp to a dyno on that

as for the z32 maf.. you have to go into the in/out settings of the car and enter in the correct settins for the maf

I don't think you are gonna be able to find out what the exact tune is, unless it is already written somewhere around or inside it.

What is this thinning out the oil business? Pray your piston rings are not that worn to incur fatal oil failure after standard 2-3000 miles.

Large injectors cars ofen blow fuel past the rings after 1000 miles even with proper tuning.

It is not advised to drive around with 550 cc injectors in your car without direct fuel tuning (ie power fc or injector lag time adjustment as well/ems).

The Apexi , neo or not is just a device the confuses the air flow signal. THere is nothing minute or tiny in the adjustments at all. In reality under controlled conditions the changes to AFR are extremely sporadic and un-checked. I have proven this time and again with dual widebands hooked up to the car and monitoring AFM voltage changes/drops etc caused by the AFC.

Get your car tuned properly for the 550 cc injectors as soon as possible, but your car will be "driveable" in the mean time if you need to limp it by a couple hundred miles until you can get it on a dyno or tuned with a data logit

agreeing with steve. get a rom tune at least.

Ignition timing is determined based on engine load. Load is calculated via maf and tps voltages plotted against rpm. therefore if you use an AFC to mess with maf voltage, you're artificially adjusting ignition timing.

not that i know anything about tuning but it seems like using an afc is "doing it wrong"
