See below from the aero thread: http://zilvia.net/f/chat/456607-chuk...ml#post5193607 Versus the more continuous front of the Sil Aero that you posted earlier. Needless to say, guess there would not be enough interest. Thanks! GLWS

I want those Canadian skirts!
Good luck with the venture man... if I didn't already have a mint aero bumper waiting for paint, I would of wanted a urethane copy from you hands down. If you end up doing some aero skirts then I might be interested. I have some now, but they are VERY rough. |

and im REALLY starting to learn toward fiberglass for the front bumper. again, it will allow greater control on the products fitment! polyurethane is great, but its going to be hard to adjust certain aspects of the bumper as its going to be a 6 piece mold! the fiberglass mold would be a single piece setup and would be very easy to change if something didnt fit correctly!
plus the polyurethane molds are going to put me close to $10k in debt, unless i get a TON of immediate adopters, I have no interest in being that far in debt again! The fiberglass mold i could most likely float in cash i have on hand. ive also got 3-4 more projects lined up for Jan/Feb so I REALLY need to watch my budget with because they NEED to happen ASAP as most of you S13 coupe and hatch owners will LOVE what im releasing! |

i will release that information when i have a final price for the bumper shipped (im still in the planning stages for everything). im getting a price quote on monday for the fiberglass mold and how much each bumper will run me in FRP sooooooo, ill know a lot more after that. if i can keep the FRP pricing comparable to the polyurethane quote, then i can do these things for damn good numbers! please keep in mind that pick up will only be available Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm and Saturdays 10am - 12pm, no exceptions. you will have to drive out to my day job in henderson to pick the bumpers up!
im also working on new s13 coupe and hatch valances right now too. theyre actual original designs that will match my side skirts a lot better! i know everyone is going to get a huge kick out of them |

In for one, doesn't matter the material. I was going to go full aero but theres something about a Stock bodied s13 sil with aero bumpers, oem style skirts and rear valances. Clean and simple.

I'm really tempted to replace the rest of my Aero stuff with the Dorkidori stuff and run around calling it the Dorkidori s13 coupe like a jackass.

i received pricing for the fiberglass version and i wont be able to keep it in budget. its going to be quite a bit heavier than the urethane version and would cost over what the plastic version will to produce. So this means im going to HAVE TO go the urethane route!
i will update on this project as it comes along. i may have to push it out to febraury or march just due to how much the mold is going to run me. though i MAY be able to drop the mold pricing a bit with a slight modification and new part...again, i will update in a bit. |

thats on hold for a bit. im not comfortable going close to $10,000 in debt to make the mold right now. ive got a few freelance gigs im working on plus some more shirts, once i have more physical cash to put down (which should be about a month away), im going all in. but going THAT far in debt for something that isnt an immediate return on investment is very scary.

bumper is going to be officially made from polyurethane. im meeting with my body shop today to finalize details on getting a jig built for the molding process. bumper SHOULD be going back to the polyurethane shop for molding sometime next week!
i should have a prototype in hand within 2-3 weeks. once i have the prototype, fitment photos will be posted and i will begin taking orders! |
