240sx preprogrammed for larger injectors; true?

I read, I believe on this forum, that the 240sx ECU is preprogrammed for larger CC injectors then it comes with stock. Now i cant find the post nor am i positive it was true. But if thats true, on a low boost application like my SOHC KA, maybe i can get a little more out of it then i thought with out spending alot of money. I work in an Autoparts store so i get the 5-finger discount on pretty much everything in stock. I have a 300ZX twin turbo feul pump and feul filter, now the twin turbo Z runs 370CC injectors and the post i read, said the 240 is programmed for 330CC injectors or something, so if it is, can i use 300ZX injectors and they will pump out 330CC's of feul with out straining? And am i right about 300ZX injectors bolting in?

hahahhaha you made me laugh...... no but seriously... the ecu is programed for the 270cc or what ever the stock is.... for low boost you can run a FMU and upgrade your fuel pump with stock injectors.... i forgot what disk... i think its like 8:1 runs a 14.0 - 12.0 A/f on about 230hp ish... good luck.. and do a lil more research... there is alot of good info here... ka-t.org and freshalloy.com

edit: 12.0-12.4:1 via Vortech 8:1 FMU and upgrade fuel pump... then you should be set... thats the fuel setup on for 6psi on a T3/T4 .48 ar stage 3 wheel turbine .50 ar compressor

the 95/96 370's should drop right in, but you would be running pretty damn rich without any sort of fuel adjustments (safc, retune, etc).

the vg30dett injectors from the 300zx tt are the same as sr20 injectors (not including s15s, which are 444cc). These are side feed and bolt right in to the existing rail. The stock 240sx injectors are only 270cc,dont even waste your time with them and chance blowin shit up,just upgrade to the 370cc (vg or SR injectors) and get an safc ($200 or so) and you'll be fine. The 240 was never 'programmed' to run any bigger injectors, so whoever told you that is either stupid, lying or both.

SRs maybe. Not KA. Verify your post before you confuse these kids.

misread your post, i was talking about dohc ka rails, into which only the 95/96 z32tt injectors drop in. no clue about the sohc setup though.

there was a story out there that some dude from canada droped some 370cc injectors in.... but idle was really rich and later on when he blew his engine he found out that it ran really lean at WOT but he never really told anybody it ran lean... so people from that part of canada told everybody you can run 370cc injectors with no tuning.....
