NO NO NO NO NO As long as we have D'Antoni, we will stay at 16. Laker fans are parading tonight about the past. We got swept and we fucking stink. And Gnnr, too early to say "dynasty", this run would be the Lebron era though. |

the two back to back turnovers.. and then in the final possession/spurs last chance when he jumped into the air and threw it away.. Quote:
Both teams were tired after game 6 and that means the advantage goes to Miami. I was just hoping the Spurs' experience and poise would somehow guide them to victory. Congrats to Miami. Quote:
I think the "Three peat" will be a hot topic next season.

Kawhi Leonard was a stud though. I don't get why Pop left Danny Green in after he was 1-9, but I guess he had too. Who else do they have off the bench besides Neal. I guess maybe Diaw since he was at least doing something. Poor games by Green and Manu and Tony Parker too I guess even though he's playing with injury and possibly already a small tear the last few games.

Holyshit what a series.
All i can say is the Spurs as an organization is first class from the top to the bottom. I just can't hate any of them. I feel extremely happy and sad at the same time. Timmy and Pop deserve another Ring. The Spurs played their hearts out. I even feel bad for Manu, he had a pretty solid game up until that last turnover. He made the same mistake D-Wade has made countless times, he got caught in the air looking to pass. Lebron was on fire from 15-23ft. I hope I never hear ANYONE EVER question if that man is clutch again. Nothing is more clutch than his performance tonight. |

To the 2 Spurs fans that joined the conversation a few pages back. All I can say is nothing but respect for that team and those fans. They kept it pretty classy and there is nothing better than that. |

Willie Naulls and Clyde Lovellette both called and asked if they could meet and compare the quantity of rings won.
Robert Horry butted in and NO ONE spoke

Yeah I will yell Dynasty if the Heat 3peat, which is not a for sure thing. 2 in a row although rare is not a Dynasty just yet but its pretty close. I wish the Lakers would fire D'antoni and get a real Coach. A Kobe vs Lebron Finals would be a series for the ages.

It was one hell of a series, Miami took control the last 2 games and that is what counts. Congratulations to them on another ring.
As far as the lakers, I'm not worried about them. Been a Spurs fan since I moved here back in 2000 and will remain one. Go Spurs Go!

Yeh you're right I know nothing about the game of basketball because I don't respect LeBron's game, even though I've been playing the sport consistently for over 7 years. Great assumption man.

What constitutes a dynasty anyways? A long reign of consistently making it into the finals and winning championships? I don't think the Spurs were even considered a dynasty until they won that 4th ring in 2007. LeBron has my respect though for showing up in Game 7 and making jumper after jumper and 3 after 3 when the Spurs took his slashing game away. |

I wouldn't call the Heat a dynasty just yet. They had that potential if they won against Dallas though.

Not taking anything away from LBJ, BUT the Spurs gave him/Wade 300 feet of space (exaggerating but you get my point). I'd HOPE that someone of his caliber could make jumpers. Yes, it's easier to just drive in the lane, get the whistle and make free throws, but if you're in the NBA and play any position that's not PF/C, you better be making 17-19 foot jumpers consistently when given so much room.

LMAO! Very true but the Marlins still give me nightmares
Just heard on 790theticket that Danny Green was at the club with the Heat celebrating lastnight. If this is true I don't personally have a problem with it because as I said before that whole Spurs roster is full of guys that are all around great people. I'm sure Capt Jack would have played the role of the bad guy had he not been cut. But I'm pretty sure Espn is going to troll the shit out of this non-story if it's true. |

my interpretation is that it should require "x amount of titles within 2x amount of time or shorter and the same core of superstars" with at least 4 titles being the minimum. at least that is consistent with the Spur's 4 titles in 8 years in the 2000's, the Bull's 6 titles in 8 years in the 90's, the Bill Russell Celtics 11 championships in 13 years in the late 50s- mid 60s, and the Lakers 5 championships in 6 years in the late 40's-mid 50s. |

I was seriously questioning what Pop was thinking. Why do you keep Danny Green in who was stinking all night? I know his bench is short and only consists of Neal and Diaw, but at least Diaw was having a little success. He should have played Diaw more. And why was Tony Parker on the bench during the last play where Spurs could tie. Instead Manu got the ball, got in the air, and turned it over? I know they shut down Parker and he's possibly playing with a small tear, but I rather have it in his hands than Manu. |
