local Los Angeles / Silverlake Help! Sr20 misfires
so i added some awesome 4$ injector cleaner that fucked my sr20 up.
i have added a full tank and thought i ran most of the crap out of the tank. the idle will not hold, or when i can get it to maintain a steady idle, it will go through first, and about mid 2nd it will start to choke out. i dont want to take it to the mechanic shop, because the car is such a frankenstien, id rather find out whats wrong with it from someone who knows more about what we do. i have also had bad experience with the autozone parking lot mechanics guessing at what the problem is and charging me to replace unnecessary parts. if anyone wants to make some cash im in the silverlake area trying not to do more damage to it. really dont want to get flamed, just looking for a good person to come look at it. |

It was "choking" very rarely. Like when I would get on it to pass an idiot or a short freeway onramp. But maybe like 3 times a month. It was inconsistent before I messed with it. Now it's like I can get it to idle 1/2 the time, over times it feels like only 2 of 4 are fireing. if it were an old chevy I'd drain the tank, check fuel filter, and clean carb. With injectors I have no experience and feel that I have already done more harm than good.
