Simply put, i always thought i should go with the SR swap... but i got second thoughts and was thinking about ka24de-t... but then someone told me it was possible to make a ka24de NA over 200 hp... we where thinking about cams, port and polish... etc weight reduction (a/c, and fan). I find it a good idea since no one would expect a non-turbo 240 to go that fast.. and i could keep my engine which is in good shape, well maintened.

Now the question is: has anyone did it before... or know some info about this? Cause i'm looking forward doin this next automn.. and i got pplan my budget.. (i got around 2K-3 k or a lil bit more or less i'll see then). My car : 95 240sx 5speed le w/LSD. I already have the exhaust and CAI...

What would you do?

Yeah, its possible, but after a while its not really cost effective. Bolt ons plus a JWT ecu will get you good gains, and a cam would help, but this engine isnt really designed for high RPM revs. Still 200 HP (Crank, 200WHP would be extremely difficult to get NA) isn't all that fast.

If you can afford it, KA-T is a good bang for your buck.

The thing is i don't think i can afford a ka24det... of the 3 options isn't it the most expensive one??? How much is it the complete kit (someone who did it) turbo, intercooler, BOV, turbo timer, etc...

Help Anyone?

With the ammount of money it would take to get the ka running over 200hp, you could have turboed it and have atleast 25more hp, not to mention the fact that you would have more potential. With n/a tuneing you will quickly hit a wall where you just can't mod anymore...not without lots of $$$ and small gains.
