What to look for?
Like I said, I'm new to 240's. If you were to buy one what would you look for? What issues are common and what are some of the do's and don'ts? Any advice is appreciated.

^^^honestly though thats more of a hatchi thing. yes rust is a problem but just to add to the list..
-weird noises -engine problems -previous owners not knowing anything about cars and blaming one problem on a no existent part( ive heard this many times) -having someone tell you you will never find a cleaner car for their price and then 1 week later you do find one for 1000 bucks cheaper. -because they are popular youll pay way more than what the kbb is so dont even go of on that shit -"drift tax"^^^ -DO try and do things right an dkeep a clean build -DONT drift it into a wall or mod it like you did with your old honda -if its sr swpped, very cheap price and their only reason for getting rid of it is "I just want something different"...there is probaly more to the story.. -DO look for body damage anywhere and everywhere(hell even try a carfax!) -DONT come on here and ask things that google can easily solve for you man. welcome to zilvia and if you do end up getting a 240sx, welcome to the longest project/ hobby you'll ever own lol |

^^^ these cars are notorious for being half assed project cars. so when an sr swap comes up look for good compression on all cylinders any weird noises aside form the injectors because well of coarse those click! xD leaking oil, boost leaks, blown turbos, and lack of power due to issues.
Ive heard too many people selling their cars say "oh it only needs a head gasket" when there are 20 other issues as well creeping up on you. your best bet is to find the most stock 240sx you can and work from there.. the less hacked up it is the better off you are fixing your own mistakes and not others... this topic has been covered plenty of times.. |

240boi is right,
As a 240 owner you will never be happy with your car. Wether is rust, minimal upgrades....engine swaps... You will forever build it until you buy another car Besides that Welcome to Zilvia. |

When you show up to look at the car, the very first thing you should look for is if it's a 240sx. If it is, hit the brakes and bust a 180 outta there cuz.
