Sr20det ARP Main Stud Triming question

Hey guys im currently building my s15 sr and have seen that two of the arp main studs need to be service to clear the upper oil pan. My question is if anyone has any measurements of approximetly how much needs to be taken off of them?

I have never used ARP and never will. You should not have to trim new parts! Total bs, but good luck!

That's a completely BS line... ARP makes great items, so what if you have to mill an 1/8" off two studs. Yeah it sucks but it's not the end of the world.

OP, and 1/8" should give you the clearance you seek.

Yeah so great you have to modify new items to work, solid!

They were designed to work on the FWD SR's, they just so happen to work with every SR motor. FWD SR's have a different upper sump pan that don't need additional clearance to run the ARP mains. If you don't want to mill the studs, drill holes in the upper pan and have plate welded over the holes. That'll give you the clearance needed as well. Like I said, not the end of the world.
