S14 with aftermarket rear bumpers

how do you guys make the exhaust clear the aftermarket rear bumpers? i just notice today that my exhaust is only hanging on by two hangers and its already hitting the bumper. my bumper is a msport for a 95 zenki.

I had the trim the fiberglass prior to painting the bumper to make the exhaust fit w/o rubbing. Post some pics of how bad the exhuast sits in comparison to where th rear bumper sits.

ok ill post pics tomorrow, but the pics will show the exhaust slightly hitting the bumper, BUT keep in mind, this is only using 2 hangers, not safe. so if i connect those two hangers i mgiht crack the bumper if i dont trim it, ill have to take a chunk of it off.

Mine clears the exhaust. VS: ver1 (vertex).

My friend on the other hand (95blue240sx), his didnt clear and he had the Msports/Msports copy and it had the same problem as you. It was too much to the left side and was rubbing it. I think he got it trimmed but I dont know.

Yup, I installed an Msports rear aero bumper on a 96 240SX and had clearance problems w/ his exhaust...Apexi duals...just took a dremel and had to cut ~1cm. of where the bumper rubbed against his exhaust...you can't tell it was cut.

Also, I have a C-west rear bumper on my 96 and I had to shave it down a little bit as well. If you have an exhaust that's angled w/ an aftermarket rear bumper...most likely you will need to trim the bumper.

Looks like ill have to trim. what did you guys do? moutn the exhaust on all 4 rubber hangers then trim with the bumper on the car? or trim it first then mount the exhaust on all 4 hangers? hahaha as do i! kits that use valances rock!

Anyway, i'd fully mount everything first, then mark off where it rubs, then remove exhaust and dremel bumper accordingly.
