Anti Seize on control arms?
Im prepping to install coilovers and full adjustable arms and was wondering if people add anti seize to the coilover threads or adjustable arms and if it actually works?

Had the collars freeze up on my old coilovers and couldn't get them to move while on the car. I put anti seize on the threads of my current set of coilovers when I installed them, when I went to adjust them months later the collars spun like butter. I did not put it on my rear arms and when I went to adjust my pbm ruca it took a little muscle to free them up, however with the pbm toe and traction arm I had no issues and actually had the locking collars rattle loose on their own a couple times :/
Overall I'd say it's not a bad idea, and makes adjustments easier in the long run |

I would use a dry lubricant over anti-seize. That stuff will tend to attract dirt/grime and potentionally make things worse.

No need to order it, Lowe's stocks it.

Just to reiterate, I have not used antiseize on my control arms. I did on the coilover threads.
And +1 for the dry lubricant recommendation, after some research on heim joint maintenance (from domestic car forums) that is the go-to product. I will use that for sure, thanks |
