since i own a fwd before...
i just want to give my opinion
yes, fwd can make the rear end breaks loose.. by pulling the e-brake rapidly. but its more like dragging.. not drifting
thats why most people say rwd = drifting, fwd = a_s dragging
just my 2 cents

Or lift throttle oversteer, or trail braking, or a flick/feint...

None of these methods to upset rear traction depend on putting power to the rear wheels.. just using the car's natural weight transfer to shift weight forward, and a well balanced chassis should take care of the rest by breaking loose in the rear, FF or FR.
