This is some crazy shit. I dont know to believe it but it seems pretty legit yet im not a chemist or have a phd in something related. Why not give it a try. Seems worth it. Its worth the read and browsing around atleast. Check the engine pictures on the site last one looks like a engine that has been babied forever.

They claim that you get better emissions too. Smog tech should grab some and verify.

I've heard good stuff about it. I'd proceed on any oil additive with caution though. If you do decide to do it, let us know if it makes a difference.

$4 coupon here too:
http://www.auto-rx.com/arxfq.htm It is supposed to give you better gas mileage by cleaning out the inside of the motor. I just ordered a bottle of this stuff. I'm going to try the "maintenance" program.

Not two bottles .. two applications. 1 12oz bottle is for 6 quarts of oil.
The KA only takes about 4 quarts so you can probably two 2 cleanings from 1 bottle.

I had similar results with a good synthetic oil like Motul's or by using Motul's engine cleaner.

Actually, running Redline for 3 changes got mine looking pretty darn clean. But I think I'll still try it.

I've used something like that in my civic engine called clean power. Comes in a 2 liter bottle for about $15 at Winchester Auto. I would put in about a quart. Can't remember what the recommend dose was. I put it in before I change the oil and run it for about 5-10 mins. Then drain oil hot and refill. The next time I took the valve cover off, it was clean inside the head. So stuff like that works. But I guess it depends on how dirty the engine is.

wow i thought my engine looked dirty when i tore it down last week but DAMN that guys was a mess...it looks like he never changed the oil in that thing. ever.
since my engine isn't much dirtier than his *after* shots i guess i'm not gonna chance it with this stuff... on a side note, i do worry about strong detergents and degreasers inside my engine...if your motor is in bad shape its worth a try, but i wouldn't chance it until we get some good rock-solid evidence....

bah.. drain motor oil, run 4 qts of atf, let idle for a few minutes, drain, then put new motor oil.
Then run atf thru the brake booster and thru vaccum lines, make sure car is warm and running, set car off for 15 minutes, then start up and watch all the smoke. Simular to seafoam.

You dumbass you don't run 4 quarts of ATF!!! Besides you used that sea foam shit. I used the ATF trick you roughly let a vacuum line suck up about 1/4 qt. of dexecron 3 (sp?) and let it ilde for an hour, and it will smoke for a solid hour. Note: make sure to have fresh oil and plugs ready to change after the treatment.

I'm on the second cleaning cycle of auto-rx right now. To be honest I haven't notice a difference but it was recommeded to me by a co-worker so I figured why not since I had over 130K on my engine. Also the instructions says to use 10oz for a 4 cylinder and the whole 12oz for a 8 cylinder.

I got my bottle yesterday and the directions say 2oz for every quart of oil you fill so should be more like 8oz if you are going by directions.
I am not doing the full clean because the engine was recently rebuilt and should be really clean already. Just doing the maintenance program which is 2-3oz every oil change. The Auto-RX isn't a normal cleaning solvent and doesn't harm anything in the engine. Which is why it works slowly over several oil changes. Who knows? A lot of the stories about Auto-RX sound like miracle stories... almost too good to be true. It fixes leaks, improves compression, better gas mileage etc.
