Car Toys Car Show June 7! Collecting donations for our troops!
I know I haven't posted here in YEARS, but I'm trying to reach every facet of the automotive community with this. It's a lot of fun, and it's for a good cause.
Now everyone show up. WE WILL BE ACCEPTING DONATIONS TO SEND TO THE TROOPS. A 12-pack of soda is a huge gift for those guys. It costs so much to ship this stuff, that actually paying for goods is very difficult. The charity we work with is footing the bill on the shipping, but all of what goes over there comes from donations. Snack foods, sodas/drinks, magazines, books, and pretty much anything else you can think of that would make it feel a little more like home over there! Please, even if you can't stay for the show, bring a little something for our troops. |

here's a list of a stuff that the military folk could use in the sandbox.
deodorant shower to shower body powder jelly beans rice krispie treats altoids beef jerky slim jims sunflower seeds chex mix gum playing cards toothbrush/toothpaste granola bars M&Ms matches magazines baby wipes lipton single tea packets individual drink mixes for 20 oz bottles of water Small, inexpensive toys are great as well, like digital watches and whistles. They use them to bribe the kids to find out where "the devils" are. Any of the non-perishable commodities that we use in our day-to-day life are worth their weight gold to those guys. |

I was recently informed that herbs and spices are great as well. Anything dried, and in a plastic shaker, like seasoned salt, serendipity, Ms. Dash, etc. Anything you'd put on on bland food. They have salt and pepper, so it's the other stuff that really hits home.

Just picked up tons of prizes to give away. Speakers, gift cards ($25 iTunes, $50 Cantina Laredo, $30 Macaroni Grill, $25 BWW, 2 x $25 Redneck Heaven, etc...), as well as free BWW wings will be served for everyone who shows up, and a free lunch from Redneck Heaven for EVERYONE (Gotta go across the street for that one). Everyone will get a ticket for the door prizes, but some of the prizes will be for a special raffle just for those who donate to Airborn Angels!
We need your help... It's all for a good cause, and WORST case scenario, you get a free lunch... |
