I got word of this show from a co-worker last week and decided to check out all the episodes made so far. It's an interesting concept and the climatic endings to every episode keeps me eager to see the next episode.

For anyone that hasn't heard of it...pretty much the setting is in some small town of Louisana in a world where vampires and humans co-exist. Of course this is without hate and fear from both sides. This show is just full of so much blood, sex, drugs, violence, foul language and nudity.

One of the main characters is Anna Paquin, who played Rouge in the X-Men films and I'm really annoyed with her character in this show. Actually I think the overall acting performance of the case is horrible but its so bad that I can't help but watch it.

So does anyone else watch this show and like it ?

I like it.
I've seen every episode thus far, and not a single one has disappointed me. The acting isn't that great, but it is pretty entertaining none the less.

Love the show and I usually hate anything Vampire related.

Only thing dragging it down is Anna Paquin's wrong turn mouth.

The second season is off to a nice start, plenty of new mysteries now to keep you wondering. New characters too, and as deadghost mentioned I think Jessica is a cutie. Probably a real freak in person with that red hair!

great show i watch it every week. But im much more excited to watch the new season of Entourage im countin down the minutes til 10:30 Sunday night, already watched season 5's dvd twice all the way through.

I watch the show every week. first season Anna did GREAT i thought. this season I think she is annoying as crap. Her and Bills relationship is annoying at this moment in time. I also think they made her look 10x uglier, if that is AT all possible.

I rented the first season about a month ago and liked it alot, i pretty much like vampire related stuff, so ive been downloading the 2nd season Eps as they come out since i don't have HBO.

I love the show. Ever since Tera started punking out, Lafayette has been my favorite character. Me and my girlfriend are going crazy trying to figure out whats up with this chick, Marianne...

Plus, I can't wait until we see some Werewolves on the show...

So far the painting and the sculpture in the house has some connection to her and I'm thinking the butler is the HUGE pig, probably a shape shifter completely under her control. I wouldn't mind living at her house though, all the food, weed and sex you can have lol Of course there's a catch and I'm trying to figure that out.

I do think the hog is the butler, but I can't see him also being the horn dude that scratches Scookie. Why would the chick at the end of episode 3 have the same scratches?

I can't wait to see what the deal really is.

I'm a big fan of this show
(also looking forward to Entourage)

Anna's character/acting is right on I think
Small Louisiana swamp town waitress with a HS education

I've read all the books and could explain what creature Marianne is
but I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone
SimpleS14 - you're right, the art in the house contains many hints
(not a succubus btw)

What I really like is how the show hits all the key plot elements
but gets there in a different manner than what Charlaine Harris wrote in the books
In the books Lafayette dies, Marianne arc is a lot smaller, Bill doesn't have a "daughter"
Jason doesn't go to Dallas with the Fellowship of the Sun, the circumstances for the trip to Dallas
are different, etc, etc...
too much win in this show for me!

Im barely catching up on the first season but just like SimpleS14 mention at the bengining of the thread. This show has all the ingredients that got me HOOKED!!
