Save it Or Let it Die?

So guys i have a major question that only the crowd of s chasis owners can answer. Recently i came across a SUPER CLEAN 240sx hatch back 152,000 KM with a SR20 Motorswap 50,000 on the motor. The guy had a encounter with a moose which caused him to end up in the ditch bending a few arms tearing the lip of etc. He then later had it inspected by a Licensed Body man And mechanic, they had it up on a lift checked it out and they said everything was all good no major damage. He then later bought pdm racing front lower control arms, bushings and ball joint. Had them installed and it came up short, a little less then a inch on the passenger side. The mechanic who installed and reviewed the frame and such said there could possibly be a buckled subframe. The guy is getting it booked in friday to have the frame measured to see where the damage is and potientally repair it. But he pretty much gave me the choice to Save it, or part it out and let the car rot away. Here is a picture of the car.

Now, in canada its pretty tough to come across a clean never seen snow car. This car is by far one of a kind.

It would help if you posted pictures of the damage to the vehicle instead of a picture of it before the crash...

Well, if you can afford to get the frame straightened out...why the fuck not?

Actually, what came up short?

Checked the cross member? Ive seen them shift off without tweaking the frame. My last S14 did this after smashing my front end on a curb after doing a 360.

They said the Unibody frame it self looked perfectly fine, They say it could be a slight buckle in the subframe and depending were it is it shouldnt be a issue to fix.

Yea the mechanic and the body man said the frame it self was fine when the inspected it. But after the install the lca was off by about half a inch which leads hime to think the crossmember has a slight buckle in it and they say it wont be hard to fix depending were it is.

The cross-member is first on the checklist for possible issues. When we had it up on the lift, the tech pointed out the fresh (lack of grease +paint showing) look around the cross-member mount points, but the LCA was obviously bent, so we decided to fix the obvious to see if that solved the alignment problem.

If you let it die I'll fly you out (coach) to California, all expenses paid, and hit you in the dick. You're taking the Greyhound back though.

Time to de-virginize the car and put S14 subframes.

If it's fixable, you should get it fixed. My DD s14 is slightly tweaked, but I don't care. Been driving it for nearly 6 years that way and it still feels amazing on the streets and on the track.

I'm sure we've all seen at least one potential track car waste away due to a part out.

Save the s chassis.

If you're asking whether or not to save this car you should sell it to an enthusiast.
