285/40/18 on s13 rear?
I can pick up a pair and have some 5zigen 9.5" to mount on but have not seen pictures online of how it looks. Car has about 30 mm over fenders & coilovers. Doesn't seem too much different then the more popular 285/30/18.

Someone should make a thread about wheel and tire fitment so we can just put all these questions in one place.
Maybe get a mod to sticky it or something. What do you think guys? |

type 285/40 on 18x9.5 into google to see what it looks like
no idea if it will fit your car because you didnt tell us the offset but 285/40 looks gross on anything

I dont feel like searching for pictures. But I'll tell you in the last couple of years most Formula D cars are running 40 series sidewalls on 18's. I see a lot of 275/40r18 on FD cars. Matt Field runs 295/40r18 on an S14. Lurk around websites that post a lot of FD cars and you'll get an idea of how it looks and fits. Might not be exact, but its an idea.

285/40 is around 27" overall
285/30 is 24.7" Most people try to be closer to 25" on a 240.. Huge rear tires are fine if you do 15" slicks and I'm not sure that's the look you want for your car. 285/40/18 is just silly.
