Strange idle issues with my red top
It all started when I switched my bov for an aps twin bov. Before I put it on, I of course took it apart cleaned it and regreased it. Checked if it held pressure and it did. After throwing it on, it'll idle at 19-20hg for about 30 seconds and then shoot down to 14-16hg and idles like I have step two cams. So I figured the bov must be leaking. I pulled it off and covered the flange with my hand and it idled like crap. Took my hand off the hole and it idled perfectly fine. Now I'm confused on why it even idles at all with a big gaping hole (the flange). Not to mention I rerouted my vacuum source so that the bov and the boost gauge have their own lines, reading that it would help with idle issues.
