Rb26dett into s14 chassis sticky

I know it seems im new but i used to post under another name that i no longer use. I sold my s13 to buy an s14 and swap a rb26 into for a have nothing better to do project car as usual. I know how hard it is and all that yadda yadda. But recently searching for hours on end every night till the crack of dawn i realized how scattered the rb26 discussions are. So i was hoping one of you mods could open a sticky for rb26 only. It seems to me that all the rb threads on all forums are flooded with 90% rb25 or rb20 stuff. I have a ton of links i can post if this goes through. Also it seems a lot of the completed rb install problem threads are pretty old. I have found newer ones that explain stuff a bit better and how to deal with certain problems easier. In conclusion i'm just bored and thought if i was going to start another rb s14 thread it might as well be a sticky for rb26 only install help. Title thread should be Rb26 in S14 only! Thanks and f*ck the oil companies and government for such high gas prices!!!

I'm trying to help out zilvia members. I have a lot of bookmarked pages from there and other skyline forums. But like i said having a sticky in one place (being zilvia) will be so much easier then someone saying go check here and there then go left, right, up, breathe, down, now go in circles blah blah you get the point. I'm just trying to make a point.

I dont think theres a whole lot of demand for it, thats the reason why the RB sticky has been so general. Not alot of people can afford to go RB26.

i understand, and that is why a lot of the threads are more about the rb20/25 i just thought it would a good idea because anyone who is trying to get help and opens a topic, they are shut down and told go look here of there and have you actually tried to research in depth about the swap the post are way old and scattered everywhere. For example, i might find a really nice "how to avoid blah blah while swapping in rb26" thats 17 pages long. You sit there and read it.....all of it just to put the information together and realize only about 4 pages were actually informative and the other just people b*itching about how stupid you are or the more common thread jackers.

Im getting rid of my old rb20's and putting a rb26 in my s13 as we speak. It is very hard with everybody saying "just go with the 25". If you have any information please post it here or pm me. If you need help, let me know. I have messed with RB's for a while. My hardest part now is making a harness from scratch.

I read some where that it is possible to do a awd 240sx with the rb26dett, just get the full front cut with everything. In order to do so you need the same chassi as the skyline.
S13=R32
S14=R33
S15=R34
I haven't seen an S15 in person, but the s13 and s14 do resemble the r32 and r33

The S15 underpinnings are identical to the S14. So you'd end up using R33 parts in the S15. Regardless, if you wanted to do the AWD swap and have the funds/know-how, contact full-race for the kit...

No clue if they actually went on production but they were talking about $16k ball park for the kit...thats before you buy you're own damn GTR clip. So easily over $21k and you do the work yourself.
