S14 Rear Subframe possibly bent

I bought a spare rear subframe to install new bushings and essentially do all the work to beforehand so changing everything out is a drop out the stock one and have another built and install straight back in. Keep my car from being down more than a day.

After getting the old bushings out I was cleaning it up to prep for paint and I noticed its not sitting flat on the ground. Is this normal? It's not much. maybe one corner is off the ground by like a 1/4 inch. I don't see any tweaks in it. Is there specific areas I should look for bends?

While a good observation in regard to the used part, in the truth of it all, I wouldn't worry much about that. As soon as you bolt it up into the car it'll sort itself out.

They all do that sligthly when on a flat surface. I noticed the same thing on my subframe and a friends' when I was prepping them. I know neither car was ever hit. The front crossmember does the same.

OK I wasn't sure and I wanted to make sure before I used it or sold it to someone. I kinda need to sell it to fund my turbo build. Didn't want to hose somebody.

Thanks for the info guys!

Since you have it out, see if you can have a weld shop strenghten the rear section where the back of the diff bolts on to. I've seen a couple crack/break there and had to drop the subframe to replace or reweld.

Thanks I will check it out. I've also seen where people have welded braces into the uprights for the control arms(i think). Also did some research into the foam deal too. I messed up on this one and got overzealous cutting out the stock bushings so now I have to either sell this one and get a diff one or go solid bushings. Only thing that sucks is I already have a set of ES bushings sitting on my shelf waiting to go in!
