97 KA High Idle Problem- NEED HELP!
Ok, I've been reading up on this and still can't find too much of a clear solution to my problem. I have a 97 s14 with a stock KA.
The problem is that the car has a high idle, 1800 to 2000 rpms. Sometimes it will idle perfectly, around 800 rpms. But if I give it some gas it will rev up and wont drop down past 1800-2000 rpms. Things I've checked for- 1. Vaccum leaks - none. 2. Dirty/clogged IACV - clean, spring, valves move fine. (haven't checked solenoid voltages) 3. Replaced temp senor and sender. I checked the tps, I got 1k to 5k ohms on it. Supply voltage was 5V. Voltage at idle is .34V, but I'm only getting 2.87V at WOT, shouldn't it be somewhere around 4 to 5 volts? If anybody here has had this problem, please feel free to give some info as to what caused it on your car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Last edited by trikk; 12-07-2014 at 06:17 PM.. |
