Am I drifting? I hope so, that's what I signed up to do. I'm broke like a joke, but I managed to come up with the funds. My S14 is in the air right now, I managed to f**k s**t up last week. But I should be good to go before you get back. We hittin' up the canyons right?

Yay sil-abc!!!! Glad to hear that you finally registered yourself in an event...you're going to have so much fun. If I decide that I'm not going to be driving I might be able to find you a helmet to borrow...but it's really a good idea just to invest in one so that you can have it for future events.
Either was I'll see you down there....

I got tire/wheel issues, dont think id wanna drift my 18"s and I dont have another set of wheels to beat on. Times like these I wish my stockies werent in Florida. Plus the whole if something breaks in my car den im fuked kinda pops in mind too.

Helmets must be DOT or Snell95 or above. Most motorcycle helmets exceed DOT and Snell specifications. The thing is, motorcycle helmets are specifically designed to absorb more severe impacts. However, helmets for cars don't have to meet such stringent specifications.

Oh, and if you're planning on getting serious about tracking your car, you might just want to buy a car helmet rated SA2000, since you're buying a helmet anyways. Some event organizers won't let you use a motorcycle helmet. You'll be fine for drift days with an MA95 helmet, but might as well plan ahead and not buy 2 helmets.

im still sketchy about it cuz the one i checked out said Snell Approved and "DOT" on the back of the helmet. Inside said m2000 but i wasnt sure if thats still alright. What does the A in MA or SA stand for?

the A..hmmm...dunno..lol..
but in general MA = Motorcycle SA = Automobile M = should be Motorcycle too but older (unsure) anything (SA/M/MA) above 95 is good..SA above 2000 is accepted EVERYWHERE.. |
