SOg looked like poo poo this match.... he went for the high flying and dbag decided to place his head right in its path. glad Sog won, but he didn't look like his normal self.

Khabib better get his title shot, ufc cant duck him forever... or could they?!

weeks prior to the match. I was watching most all of sog matches. his athleticism/power bails him out. he does fade on later rounds. his spacing/evade hides his some defense and offensive deficiency. like he was struggling to survive jacare push on the final rounds and he really lacks any offensive on his lead right like a counter jab. what I do like is, he seems to be thinking/plotting.

as for the match, I thought he looked his normal self while being pressured. Weidman kept trying to shoot and wrestle. thinking he would have an advantage on the top game. he would have. but, that match we saw sog out wrestle. he's a really fun fighter to watch. his power his like hendo bomb x2.

Weidman looked like shit in that fight. His only real chance was to knock him out after SOG gasses since SOG is a beast of a wrestler too.

Highway Riding

Ok this was the PPV i purchased since Anderson Silva's last beatdown and it did not disappoint. Weidman neva gave me the fuzzies. Just a good wrestler with a sorta strong chin. Now the co main had me on the edge of my couch. I feel Thompson came out the winner after his post fight speech. Sounded coherent and looked ok. As for Mcgregor he totally owned my boy Alvarez. All i can say is that no one over 29 should fight him. Dude is still too youthful at this point. Great card!

showtime was good when he mixed it. ufc overhyped his striking.
his ultimate goal should had been ground/submissions. tune everything for that one goal and one strong point and the rest will follow. eventually shooting for td will open up for his kicks.

My man cerrone just a solid beast! Gave Brown a "let's be friends" hug and then kicked him in the noggin.. what a dick! lol Can't wait to see what is lined up next for him!

Holloway did well and looks pretty solid.

Cub and Choi was AMAZING! They slugged it out like fighters should, they just didn't put on cinder blocks and tee off on each other (find that to be stupid and boring).

UFC dumping alot of money into hyping up Rondas return. Nunes is going to dominate her. A year long hiatus is a very very long time in pro sports. Competition has caught up.

I think ronda should have to rematch with holly to decide who gets a title fight. She deserves it just as much as ronda (if not more so). I think ronda is gonna get destroyed anyway but who knows maybe she really improved herself this past year. If she loses bad again she will probably retire.

We will not see the same Rhonda as before. She will question every punch, kick, knee, elbow coming at her. She will react like that will be the knock out punch/kick/ etc.

The best thing for a fighter is to get KO'd, so they can learn to fear what they thought "would never happen to me". What makes a fighter stronger is taking the fear and turning it into respect. Rhonda had to be consoled, back stage, after one of the first square-ups with Nunez. She will be hesitant, overly cautious, and more on the defensive.


We will see really soon how it plays out, I hope Rhonda proves me wrong. She has the ability and draw to do great. She needed this KO to bring her back down to reality. NO ONE is invincible in this sport.

TBH, I never really looked into Choi. I knew about him from previous fights, but never know about his training, camp or lack thereof, lineage, etc. This kid oozes natural talent! I agree with you, this kid is already a stud in his class. He could very well see a run for the belt in his future, if he can get behind some solid coaches.

Cody isnt gonna do shit to Dom. Hes way too slow. Even Faber could easily decision Cody. This should be Doms easiest title defense as long as he sticks to his game plan.

Cody at most should be fighting Dillashaw for number 1 contender honestly.

cody just backpedal and countered. I dunno what you saw. cruz was always on pressure even when he was rocked.
I think now, cruz knows how he fight. cruz will get it back.

Back pedal'd , somersaulted, salsa danced, whatever you want to call it.... He played his game and Cruz could not answer to any of it. Hell Cody pulled some and 1 foot work that made cruz break his ankles. Hate it all you want, the guy was doing push ups, pop'n and locking, and pointing out every mistake Dom was making. Dominic is a MASTER of angles and homeboy was getting outclassed in his own expertise.

yeah, he was playing the mind game. but, skill wise no. I did not see enough to warrant any attention to his fighting ability. I wouldn't say cruz is a great striker either. just a tricky one.

it just pisses me off that he can ice skate to the top for a title shot.
