What class do you run in??
And do you like it.
As of now, I am running GS. I can hold my own, but there are 2 cars I cannot touch (Alfa Spyder and supercharged mini cooper) I would like to move up a few classes so I can be more competitive. I am severely underpowered. Let me know what you like about the class you run in. As for me, I am just starting out. GS is fun because I only have 8 cars in my class. I am usually 3rd in time, and I like chasing the top 2 cars. |

Im an STS fan myself, need the right tires to really be competitive in this class. STS is a tire limited class, meaning you cannot have anything over 225 wide and no larger than 17". Oh and no R compound so putting the power to the ground with the largest and stickiest tire you can get is the key. Falken Azenis Sports are widely considered the best all around autox tire and are one of the best for this class. Good Luck

I run in sts. My first autocross they put me in sts, because i had a foam filter and a exhuast. I wasn't very competitive, but recently i did some suspension stuff and i'm catching up. If you run sts you are allowed to do any engine mods except internally and swaping engines. Also any suspension becides moving mounting points. Around me most of the people who run sts are pushing the limitations of that class.

I'm in gs right now, but soon to be sts or stx(if I get a lsd). gs is fun but around here there is almost no one in it, so I think I would like it better in a class with more cars.

I run GS in autocross and U2 in rallycross.
G Stock suits my complete lack of driving skill. There are no settings to screw up, and nothing to blame but my driving. I am still far from the limits of the car on R compounds. I am also contemplating moving up to DSP in a year or so, I think a 240SX could be quite competitive there. -Matt

the course we were on was terrible for the 240, you practically had to stop to not hit any cones, it was totaly catered to the civic hatch and the Vw's that were there. they happened to be the ones who set the track up. there was a viper and vette there and they got alot of cones, the viper guy had been in a few before and i guess usally did good, but they said it was the tightest track they ever set up.

I ran in DSP today. I don't think I was very competitive because I had a shitty tires, no vLSD. So, besiclly I was all over the course. I had OBX header, HKS cat-back exhaust, z32 brakes, stillen flywheel, CTF II clutch, ebay air intake, KYB shocks(came with the car), with factory spring that's pretty much it.
I was fun though, was pretty nervous on the first lap. Had a great time.
