Rb25det starting issue

I got into a front end collision yesterday morning around 5:30. Car was operable, we drove away. Heard a clicking sound and decided to investigate after work. Removed cam angle sensor and cover, saw a loose screw rubbing against bent metal. I tightened the scree, bent the metal back. Put the cover and sensor on, car cranked but never started. Someone had the idea to put on the sensor without the cover (idk y. I'm a
New rb owner and not too savvy with engines yet). Car backfired, stopped trying to start it. Put the cover back on and piping, tried to start it but the fuse (block that connects the starter wire to the battery) blew. I looked over wires and don't see anything thats pinched or frayed. I have a drift event Saturday. I NEED my car! Please help me out peeps!

put the cover back on, Without it it cause the CAS disk to bind inside it, the cover acts as a spacer

The fuse between my battery and starter power (as I relocated the battery to the trunk).

The car not starting after you re-installed the CAS was probably due to timing. I know that when I pulled my CAS and put it back on my ignition timing was WAY off. Rotating it is what adjusts your timing. So, you may have accidentally lined it up differently. As for your starter fuse blowing, it could be anything. Usually a short to ground somewhere is the culprit, but it could be mechanical resistance too (engine problem).

I've checked the power wire to the starter, seems to be intact and not pinched. I'm not sure what other wires would be causing it. Guess I'll have to do a more detailed look over.

ive fixed the starter problem, it did end up being a shakey ground. but the crank angle sensor is still a mystery. someone told me there should be a little half moon on the end of the cam, which the sensor slides onto, but there isnt anything there but the key.

I am having issues starting up. The CAS only sets in one way right? It only goes in one way because of the spline. I got it to fire up and it idles between 4 and 2 WTF. I pulled the CAS and put it back on and no fire up. Cranks all day though. Help please
