I need your help!

I blew my starter, so after replacing it. The teeth dont allign with one another. How do I make this happen?

I dont race or drift. I use this car to drive around to school/work. Its been M.I.A for a week now and Im sick of busing it/walking. I would greatly appreciate any type of suggestions or feedback so I can start moving!

move the teeth on the starter, or move the teeth on the flywheel.

Ka24de DOHC, manual trans

how to I move the teeth? They seem pretty sturdy.

I looked at the manual on how to remove it.
After buying a new starter at the junkyard, I got it checked at autozone it works. Now when I went to install it, it wasn't sitting flush. So Im guessing its the teeth.
I know nothing about cars, other than the basic oil changes etc.

thank you for your responses
+ rep =)

Sounds like you just need to get the teeth on both to line up. You can use a screwdriver to move it.

alright, I compared the two. I got the new starter from a 91 hatch sohc. I compared it with my 95 s14 dohc starter and the housing/teeth are different. What do I do? I looked to swap out the parts to make it fit, but my old starter is blown to hell.
