i just bought a 240sx blacktop on a 16g turbo boosting about 10lbs it smokes at low rpms the previous owner told me the turbo is garbage but i asked a couple ppl they told me if the turbo is garbage it would smoke the whole time i was wondering if it could be a blown valve gasket or head gasket or maybe even a seal on the turbo since the turbo pulls but smokes. and at idle it sounds like the car is completly off but it really isnt it has a hks exhaust on it i thought maybe i need new exhaust piping. anyone got any ideas what the problem can be

aftermarket fuel pump, hks full catback exhaust, aftermarket fuel lines and the 16g turbo

yes the turbo could only smoke under low idle
it means its goin slow enough for oil to pass the seals
just do a compression test
an put a known good turbo

what do you suggest i take the 16g turbo off and put the t28 turbo back on it or should i just buy a brand new 16g turbo

i tryed putting up a pic of the engine but for some reason i dont think its popping up
