i have a 240sx and im going to race my friends gsr...im not too confident on winning but im willing to put money on it....hes says hes gonna spank me...n e of u guys know if i can take him...hes has intake n exhaust and i too have the same modsz...

If he sucks at driving, you'll win. If you suck at driving, he'll win. If you guys have equal skill, he'll still win. Why? You'll get him off the line, but he'll start to pull up and don't be surprised when he catches you off guard and wins. The key thing is his higher end power due to VTEC's natural ability to pull through around 5-6k. Hate to say this, but the 240SX's top end isn't up to par with the GS-R's. Intake and exhaust don't do much on naturally aspirated cars.

Well i once race my friends 2000 Celica GTS and i beat him by a half a car, all i had in my car then was a CAI and Greddy Exhaust. All i did was shift around 6300 - 6500 rpm, once i heard his VTTL-I kick in i shifted to the next gear. Those low end - Mid range TQ on a 240sx help a bit...i have proof of that race too because my friend record it on his sony handy cam and it was funny because both of them was shock on how i pull on him so hard hahahahahahaha....if you have a good launch you can take him by a 1 1/2 car length in the beginning.

... maybe... but unlikely, those things don't handle half bad.

Take it from a gsr owner dont do it. I have raced 4+ 240s and beat them all. (all of them had basic bolt ons like I/H/E) and have beaten one at autocross. So handeling is not totally bad on GS-R's. BUT if he sucks at driving or mis shifts then you got him. Rember you will have the better launch also!

Well, don't go into the race with that mindstate. In a race, anything can happen. Just do whatever you can do. So good luck man.
