i think that driver assistant is lame and they pay minimum wage. I went to an interview today, and walked out of the H.R. office after I heard all the details i didnt like.

lol, i use to work on ramp am. got layoff then they call me back in september then i say no because the hours suck ass. ramp is the shit. sleep and drive tug all day and get pay.

i'm a driver for foothill center. oh and no one gets discounts or freebies when it comes to shipping at UPS. oh and there's a white s14 hatch, with the leather interior...belongs to a driver who's like in his mid 40's...one of these days i'm gonna ask him to sell it to me

p.s.
being a driver's helper can be a sucky job, depending on who you get stuck with. i've heard of some drivers dropping off a helper in an apt. complex with a heap of boxes, a map and a dolly; the driver then takes off and does some deliveries in another area lol.

lol well some of these routes get loaded up with stops, and apartments can be a real time killer. that's not the worst i've heard. a few years back a helper took a route out himself solo, ended up hitting a school bus. can't blame the guy though...i mean helpers get bare-bones training as it is, and for him to be tossed into that situation was a stupid call on management's part.

when i worked at fedex i seen someone piss on the boxes and take a dump in the truck. Some nasty people work there, i dont blame them, you get shitted on by boxes all day long.

i mean shit with no eduation or a hook up for a desent job your kinda stuck with whatever i dont mind hard work i used to be a package handler before it was chill and alot of people would do dumb shit but it still no excusse what if it was your stuff that get shitted on you know what i am saying

I never shitted or pissed on a package. I kicked a few boxes because my chute was backed way the hell up and i had to clean it all up, gets pretty frustrating, everyday.

We should be friends lol. I drive my car out there once in a while. But i HATE the speed bumps there, they RAPE my car. I had to lift my car 2 inches. . and its still bad.

if they're hiring check out www.upsjobs.com that's the only way to apply with our company nowadays. we used to do referrals but they switched to an online system a couple years back. i think fedex is the same way. I don't know how many ppl we are planning to hire with the economy being what it is. But you never know. that's how i started...i was a christmas hire back in '96. got rehired as a regular in '97 and bam 13 years later i'm still part of the brown army :P
